"It's a privilege to be able to bear witness to someone's story when they may not have had the chance to tell it before." - Lindy Alexander

Hey all!  I look forward to meeting you!  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist, and trained EMDR therapist.

I recognize how difficult it can be reaching out for help when you've hit your limit.  I'm here for you to unpack, process, and heal so you can go back to feeling better able to handle your most important life roles.  I'd love to be part of your self care routine, I would be honored to hold that vulnerable space for you.

When it comes to helping your kiddo, I work with all ages, and use Play Therapy as one of my main approaches.  Sand Tray therapy, art, games, and bibliotherapy are just some of the ways I incorporate play into the sessions. I've worked in a variety of settings since 2006, including a children's hospital, and Dekalb County Schools.  I have been honored to help with an array of different clinical specialties including teen mothers, at-risk youth, and adults with severe mental illness.  I have extensive experience with special education, parenting, behavior difficulties with children, trauma, grief, and anxiety.I pride myself in developing great, trusting relationships with my clients, no matter the age.  I also love consulting with schools and the community, to bridge the gap between parents, teachers, and neighbors.  It takes a village, y'all!

I have been a longtime volunteer for Kate's Club, a non-profit helping to empower kids grieving the loss of a parent or sibling.  That incredible organization has helped shape my understanding of grief and loss that hasn't come from personal experience.

I've lived in Atlanta since 2011.  I was born in Indiana, but have lived most of my life in Florida, so I'm still southern-ish.  I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Social Work, from University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and Florida State University (Go Notes!).

I'm the happiest doing anything outdoors - hiking, biking, and long walks with my 15 year old pit mix, Trigger.  Sunshine is my fuel.  I also enjoy exploring the never-ending culinary wonders of Atlanta with my loved ones.
