Hey all! I look forward to meeting you! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked in a variety of settings since 2006, including hospitals and schools. I have worked with an array of different clinical issues, including teen mothers, at-risk youth, and adults with severe mental illness. I have extensive experience with special education, parenting, behavior difficulties with children, trauma, grief, and anxiety.
I recognize how difficult it can be in reaching out for help when you've hit your limit. And these days, that limit gets smaller, and our patience and resources are running thinner. I'm here for you to vent to and then go back to being the best parent, friend, coworker you can be. Because who comes here when everything's great, right? I'd love to be part of your self care routine, and I would be honored to share that vulnerable space with you and aid you in your journey to peace within.
I work with kiddos of all ages, and use play therapy as one of my approaches - don't be surprised to find your kid doing a sand tray, art or game therapeutic activity, or bibliotherapy. I pride myself in developing great, trusting relationships with my clients. I also love consulting with schools and the community, to bridge the gap between our parents, teachers, and neighbors. It takes a village, y'all!
I've lived in Atlanta since 2011, but I'm from Florida, so I'm still a southern-ish girl! I received my undergrad degree from University of Central Florida (Go Knights!), and my graduate degree from Florida State University (Go Noles!). Outside of the office, I love doing anything outside - hiking, biking, running (with my dog, Trigger), yoga (you might even see me doing some poses with clients to get the body moving and release tension), and enjoying good wine with family and friends on game nights.
